Relax at One of the Best Fly-Fishing Lodges in the World on Kiribati
Our family-run beachfront lodge is located in the small Christmas Island community of London (Ronton in Gilbertese). “Ikari Beach” is just steps from your room and offers clear views of the main channel, distant lagoon system, and open ocean.
More than just a home base in this remote paradise, Ikari House is a place to share stories, laugh, relax, and dream of fishing.
Ikari House Maneaba
The maneaba is a large traditional Kiribati structure constructed with local coconut wood and fronds. The Ikari House maneaba serves as the main dining hall, meeting area, and performance venue.
Apre-Fishing Lounge
After a long day of fishing guests have a chance to rinse off gear, shower, tune gear, and relax in the beachfront lounge area. Afternoon pupus and sometimes fresh sashimi are served prior to dinner.
Guest Rooms
Ikari House can accommodate up to twenty guests per week. Rooms are configured to sleep one, two, or up to four anglers.

The Ideal Location
Ikari House Lodge was built over 20 years ago in the ideal location for fishing the lagoon flats, main channel, and offshore waters. The boats usually pick anglers up on the lodge beach directly in front of your accommodations. Other lodges require transport via truck to the harbor or pickup location.
Service, Logistics, and Meals
Service and the Kiribati spirit is at the heart of our culture and operation. The Ikari House staff works to provide guests with everything they need to feel rested, well-fed, happy, and ready for another day of fishing!
Our staff prepares breakfast, boat lunches, afternoon pupus, and delicious dinners fresh daily. Hot water for coffee and tea is available 24 hours a day. Cold beer and sodas are available for purchase at the honor bar. Purified water is available at multiple water stations around the lodge.
